PRE-CLASS QUESTIONS for Week #4
(individual; open book; turn in June 10, 2008)

Grades will be curved providing you correctly answer at least 1 of these:

	1. Give the genus and species names of three bacteria which are beneficial to humans: Numerous answers, but genus alone only got you half credit: both genus and species were required. Also only three were asked for: keep focused: don't waste your time listing dozens. (Sometimes you might have a question: "For 2 pts each, list beneficial bacteria by genus and species.")			3. What is meant by something that is called a "probiotic?" Nobody missed this. GREAT!
	2. Give the genus and species, AND the name of the disease in humans caused by three bacteria which are harmful to people. I looked for nine names: 3 genera, 3 corresponding species and 3 corresponding diseases.			4. List Koch's Postulates: Nobody missed this also. GREAT!
