8 to 10 yrs old:
    Select a type of plant which you think will grow faster than those selected by your friends. Using rulers, measure them and write your data on a calendar. Then go to the web-page below.*

10 to 12 yrs old:
    Have your group select one type of plant, and then each of you use a different type of fertilizer to spur your plant to win the race.*

12 to 16 yrs old:
    Do the same as the little kids, but keep fastidious records of the weather: temperature, cloudiness, and make three measurements each day so as to detect the effect of those factors on the rate of growth.*

16 to 18 yrs old:
    Do what the 12-16 yr olds did, but you do it under controlled conditions: instead of cloudy days, you put them in different degrees of darkness or different temperatures. Then go to the web.*
